Channelpilot was founded in 2012 and since April 2020 it is part of the CMA CGM Group, one of the world’s largest shipping companies.
The world of eCommerce is very complex, and technology driven.
We simplify it for our customers, by encapsulating complex processes and make them look easy
We are an international team of around 40 people. We laugh often and we try to help each other where possible.
We want to re-develop the frontend of Channelpilot. We chose to use Bulma, Vue.js and Nuxt.js for it. We not only want to give it a fresh look, but also create an extraordinary UX. We want to create a tool, that helps the user to do their job. The new Frontend should be loved, because it makes hard tasks easy.
From the beginning, you will be part of every phase of this development.
- You will be creating the architecture and ensure together with the team, that the code stays maintainable is well tested and documented.
- You will create features, so the user understands how they work and you will avoid usability questions by providing a good design.
- You will create the functionality from CSS to the API-Call.
- You will mentor your colleagues and support them in getting better.
A task could be, that you design the mapping of shop categories to marketplaces and bring it into production, so it creates smiles instead of question mark on the user’s face.
You will get enough time to grow into your responsibilities. Nobody expects that you solve complex issues within the first weeks. We want to establish a long-term relationship and motivate and grow you.
We believe that a degree in design or computer science helps but is not mandatory for this position. You should have at least 4 years of relevant work experience as Frontend Engineer.
You should have a strong focus on UX to create an awesome experience for our users. You are not only good in creating designs on paper, but also implement them and bring them into production.

You have a clear view on how frontend architecture should look like, so the code keeps a high quality.
It’s important for you to understand the “why” so you can think of the “how” and implement a solution. The outcome should create value for the customer, and you keep pushing until your feature is actively used.
You want to share your knowledge with your colleagues and help them, to get better. You are open for different views and you like discussions to get the best result.
Documentation is as important to you as code itself. You don’t want to answer the same questions again but instead document everything.
We are an international team. So, fluent in English is mandatory. If you can speak German, it surely is nice.
