Job description

About the web app:

We are building a new web app for scientific data analysis. The functionality of this app will include CRUD input files, CRUD jobs, review metrics & interactive plots for job results. It is very data-heavy and will involve display of a lot of metrics & plots. The app is based on the Bulma CSS framework and Vue.js. It is being implemented as a single page app hosted as a static website in AWS S3. The release date for v1 is end-Jan 2021.

About us:

We are a biotech startup based in South San Francisco, CA. Our software team is fully remote and has many years of experience working remotely. The team working on this app consists of frontend & backend developers in addition to a project manager and a product owner. We also have a separate UI/UX team who will provide design and detailed mock ups.

About you:
You will work with our current UI developer and ensure a successful launch. You are an EXPERT-level developer with many years of front end development experience and can hit the ground running. You will also need to work on our project FULL-TIME (40 hrs/wk) and not be distracted by other projects.

Must-have requirements:

5+ years of experience with:

  • HTML5
  • JS: Vue.js and Typescript
  • CSS: Bulma (or Bootstrap)
  • Version control and CI/CD (we use git in BitBucket)

Nice-to-have requirements:

  • Knowledge of Auth0 (authentication / authorization)
  • Express.js
  • AWS (Lambda, static websites in S3)
  • Knowledge of Plotly JS library for creating charts
  • Project management / tech lead experience

In addition to the above technical skills, excellent communication skills in English are also required.
